The Gaudet family operated a successful business with many satisfied customers up until 1993 when the shop was purchased by Mervin Koughan who had recently moved back from Alberta with his family.

   When Mervin and his family moved back to Alberta in 1996 he called on his brother Matt Koughan to come on board to manage the business they had left behind. Soon after that Matt became a partner and eventually took over ownership of Gaudet's Auto Body. Matt built upon that good customer base to encompass the entire Island from tip to tip. Gaudet's Auto Body now enjoys loyal customers across the entire Island through dedication to innovation and the enviroment, second to none Quality Repairs, and constant training in the ever changing Collision Repair Industry .

 
   The business has expanded and grown to the point where Matt Koughan along with another brother, Dave Koughan of Bill Koughan Auto Body, purchased a Collision Repair Facility in Summerside in 2003. Century Auto Body (2003 LTD) is enjoying consistent growth as well now, being a part of a three shop team giving the "Koughan Auto Collision Group" the unique to PEI claim of three "Island Wide Locations".

 
  Matt partnered his shops to an up and coming collision Marketing Group called CSN Collision and Glass to have a louder voice with his Insurance partners in 2007 and the results have been very positive helping to grow his businesses.
